2) Christmas Play

> We have acted out the nativity for the past several years and then had them all sing
> but the older children want something more. If anyone has any Christmas play idea's I > would greatly appreciate it.

I hope that I can help, I also am the children's coordinator of a very rural Methodist church and also have aprox 25 children ages 2 to 5th grade, and finding a play that all can participate in is very difficult however I found some resources at a Christian book store that was helpful I combined several books to make one organized play that everyone could particpate in and as you are well aware it is hard to keep the little ones attention when there are speaking parts but this moves pretty quickly, the books are Lillenas Christmas Program Bulder No. 50, compiled by Paul M. Miller, Lillenas Christmas Program Builder No. 53 Compiled by Kimberly R. Messer, and Lillenas Christmas Program Builder No. 49 Compiled by Paul M. Miller, I also get alot of my music from the Change My Heart O God series, the kids love it and all of the Heaven's Sake Kids series, they love the beat and the songs are all wonderful. Hope this helps. Diana Childrens Coordinator 1st United Methodist Church

3) Buzzer

>Does anyone know where to get buzzers to make the game show more realistic? >>

You can order a buzzer system from the Pentecostal Publishing House (www.upci.org). If they don't show it on the web page click on Youth dept. I know they have it that's where we ordered ours from.

4)
Youth Fellowship

Why not give a short devotion on one of these two scriptures: "He will keep you as the apple of His eye," or "A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in frames of silver." You certainly have the right setting for talking about apples!

5)
BEE Ideas

Have you heard the new song "Be" by Al Denson???? It is our theme song for an upcoming Emmaus weekend....We have come up with many "bee" oriented crafts and gifts to let this theme flow through our retreat. The words are very compelling:

Be here in my eyes so others may see
The beauty and presence of Your love
in one who was blind but now believes.
Be here in my heart , flow through my blood
Strengthen my soul and wash me clean
A living example of what Your grace has done

I will walk beside You, I give you my life
And when others seek to find You
May I be a light that shines.

Be here in my hands, give me Your touch
Use me to comfort and to build
Shelter for those who need Your love

Breathe words to my lips so I may speak,
Echo Your truth and living words.
Lord, make me all that I can be.

I will walk beside You, Jesus, I give you my life
And when others seek to find You,
May I be a light that shines.

Be here in my heart, flow through my blood.
Strengthen my soul and wash me clean.
Lord, make me all that I can be.
Lord, please make me all that I can be.

Some more BEE-ideas: Book marks with Bee stamps, pins that say BEE- faithful
the Be attitudes!!!!! This could go on and on!!!
Enjoy, Bonnie Jo-Delta PA

6)
Youth fellowship

This is my first time to reply, I'm not sure if this is the correct way to
reply or not. In regards to the youth fellowship for 5th graders question...
I've recently started a missions club for our 3rd-5th graders that meets
once a month. Our focus is on our homebound and college students. Each
month we rotate the group we focus on. We make something for the group
during our meeting and then when end with a prayer time. I write the names
of our homebound people (or college students) on slips of paper and then
tell the children to each get a name. They are to pray for this person for
the month. We have a prayer time where the children share prayer concerns
of their own and then we go around in a circle and say the name of the
person they are praying for. It gives the children a few moments to think
of someone else and know that their friends are doing this too!

7)
Bee a Good Samaritian (Bee Ideas)

How about "bee a Good Samaritian?" You could use the parable of the good
Samaritian. When my class did this, I purchased different sizes of
bandages, some gauze, bandaides, tape, etc, and we "practiced" being the
good Samaritian and bandaging up each other. The kids really loved it.
