2) Foam meat trays

we traced airplane parts on them and made an airplane (similar to the
wooden ones you buy and put together).

3) Strawberry baskets / Birthday Party

Run ribbon through them, put tissue or Easter grass in the bottom and make
care packets for senior citizens, welcome baskets for new students, or
baskets for birthday kids (include the following items, or other items of
choice.

When a child in our Ss has a birthday we have a 7 step procedure we go
through.

1. He gets a birthday crown
2. We sing Happy Birthday
3. He gets a birthday sticker or button
4. He gets $1.00
5. He gets to choose a prize from the birthday box
6. He gets a cupcake with a candle in it
7. We all gather around a pray God;s blessings on him for that year.

If Mom chooses she can send a cake, cupcakes or snacks for the class.

4) Craft for foam meat trays

Sorry I took so long to respond, but I had to find my directions.

Decorate your foam tray with crayons or markers. (markers give a deeper
color). If it's going to need a hole, poke hole before proceeding.  Place
decorated tray on a cookie sheet and place in oven 45-60 seconds (350
degrees).  The foam acts like the clear plastic 'shrink art' you buy in
craft store. It will curl and then flatten. Let foam cool completely
before
handling.  Hope this helps...  and I love the newsletter with ideas from
so
many people.

5) Looking for Disney character/Bible matchups?   

I mistakenly deleted one of the newsletters that someone had written in
how to correspond Disney characters with biblical ones?  Could you reprint
that again?

6) Rainbow Colors...deeper meaning?

This is my first time to write and I am not sure that this is the right
e-mail address to send this question too.
Can anyone tell me if there is any Biblical significance to the colors of
the Rainbow?  For Example--there are 7 colors in the rainbow--are they
for the 7 days of the week or for the 7 days of creation.  Is red  for
the color of his Blood--etc.
I would appreciate any information that someone could give to me as the
question "how does a rainbow form?" came up one Sunday.  After finding
that answer, I then wonder about the significance of the colors.

colors, in the rainbow hold a deeper meaning. However, the Colors of
Christ method of sharing the Gospel could be used as an object lesson for

The Bible does tell us that the rainbow is the sign of the covenant
promise God made to Noah and every living creature that he will never
flood the entire earth again.

7) Water games?   

Hi, I'm getting ready to lead a children's camp this summer and I'm
looking for some simple water games (games OUTSIDE the water, with the
water). My plan is to make a sort of a water olympic simply for fun and
to cool children a little. I'm looking for games that are simple and
don't need many props. I checked out the archives. Thank you. Ljiljana

8) Hevenu Shalom?   

Hi, I would like to teach my children to sing the Jewish song "Hevenu
Shalom Alechem" and I'm not quite sure what do the words mean. Can

10) Believer's Song?

11) Gifts for High School Graduates   

Heidi - Our church gives each graduate a bible with their name on it.
Then
we have a "graduation service".  The graduates choose a special person in
the church to present their bible to them.  That person might have a
special verse or bit of wisdom they wish to pass on to the student.  The
students have an opportunity to sing a song or give testimony.  Sometimes
they get together and present a skit - it's really up to them.  We all
look forward to graduation time every year.  God bless you.

12) Pre-teen girls?

Our church has a Friday Night ministry geared to children of all ages.
My biggest problem is Pre-teen girls.  They want to be where the Pre-teen
boys are, at that's usually playing Basketball.  They want to play with
them too, but we have so many boys, it too hard to add the girls too.
I've tried doing, manicures, pedicures, facials too no avail.  I've asked
them what they want to do....they dont even know.
can anyone help.
