1) Mother's Day Activity

Here's a cute Mother's Day activity that I used last year with my preschool class. It works for older children too! Print the following poem in a pretty font on card stock. Have each child "sign" the poem. Then, put paint on children's hands (I used pink for girls and blue for boys) and put their hand print under the poem. The poem
is an OLD one! I got it in first grade 50 years ago. There was no author cited by my teacher.

My Hand Print

You've cleaned my prints from walls and doors,
For I'm not careful when I play.
But here's a print you'll want to keep,
It's made for you for Mother's Day!

Love,

I would advise doing these a week in advance so they can dry before the little ones take them home. Apply acrylic paint to one hand with a "sponge brush."

2) Mother's Day TeaMother's Day Magnet

Click the picture to get the design.
Print the pattern on heavy photo or card stock paper.
Laminate it and glue a magnet to the back,
or glue the pattern to a specialty box of tea.
Give it to mom!

3) SHE is a Sweet Mom!

Print colorful sheets of paper to read, "is a sweet MOM." Cut the paper to wrap around a Hershey® candy bar so that only the "SHE" of HERSHEY is showing. It then reads, "SHE is a sweet MOM!"
