Here is a great site with everything you need: www.juliabettencourt.com

2) Big Wooden Bible

A woodworker in our congregation built a big wood Bible. You open it on hinges, and inside are shelves. On the shelves are books one for each book of the Bible. (we made the books from cardboard). We use this to play games such as "Put'em in order" We scramble the books and they are timed to see who can put them in order first. This can be done in teams.) A great way to help them see how the Bible is laid out and why. We can move the Bible from Small group to Small group as they need it. Built well, it will last for years.

We have our at someone house or wherever the hostess for that meeting choose. One of our meeting we had 10 question about the pastor wife to answer whoever got the closes one a look gift or candle. We read a scripture verse and close to the end ask if anyone could remember the verse or the chapter it was read out of. Whoever guess got a prize. We ate and just talked and relaxed from not having any children or husband to deal with. Another meeting we had each lady was ask to pick a cookie of your choice but not the same kind someone else was bring and did a cookie exchange with each.

10) Church Women Group

Greetings,

This is for Geneva who wrote: I need some stuff for Church Woman Group. we want to have different activities each time we meet...

These are the things that we do at our Woman's Group:

a. We have chosen a book that we do each time that we meet which is once a month and we have broken the ladies up that certain ones will teach that chapter so everyone is involved.
b. We do scrap booking.
c. We do painting.
d. We do sewing.
e. We also knit.
f. We sometime go out to movies, bowling, and plays.
g. We have our annual chicken soup where we invite different speakers to come and speak and we feed them lunch.
h. Every October we have our Secret Sister. Everyone draws a name and every Sunday in that month we turn in an encouragement card for that person. Then when we meet again in November it is our revealing party where we bring in a big gift for that person (no more than $20.00 but people do go over that price)

Just to name a few.

11) Making an Easter Celebration?

hello
i want to ask about Easter. how to make an Easter Celebration?

from SSTN: There is no "right way" or only one way to celebrate Easter. But by celebrating with family and friends, praising God with songs and hymns, reading the Easter story and sharing a happy meal together, you will find this day to be a marvelous celebration of New Life in Christ. If children are present, you may want to provide them with an Easter craft or game. If you scroll up to the bright, green box, above, click a craft or game link to locate some fun activities.

12) Holy Week Museum

Sharon from Australia,

It was sort of one of those things that just happened. (I call them God nudges).

I like to buy lots of props and things because in our Sunday School we do a LOT of acting. and I was wondering how I could present these ideas to the kids. We have a spare pew in our "Upper Room" that the audience uses when we put on our little skits. So I taped the posters of Holy Week events to the back of the seat of the pew and in front of each picture I placed several objects such as a basket of flat bread and cup in front of the poster of the Last Supper, or 3 square nails and a crown of thorns in front of the picture of Jesus on the cross. My pastor liked it a lot. I think I have some pictures somewhere, I can try to send you some if you want. Thanks for asking about it!
