1) SSTN or Facebook

After receiving many "yeas and nays" for moving SSTN to Facebook, it is clear that many beloved SSTN members would be eliminated. Therefore, for now, SSTN will remain as is. For those on Facebook, I would ask that as you see ideas shared here, that you would post them to your Facebook page and also point your friends to SSTN and SundaySchoolNetwork.com

I need your prayers. Pray that God would strengthen me for this task, to provide useful ideas and the financial resources to make it all happen!

Your webservant,
Sarah Keith <><

Hello

With love,
Treasure

4) Books of the Bible idea

I have a friend who has a son in law who gave her this idea. I am giving all the credit for this idea to them, but wanted to share with you an idea on learning the Books of the Bible. Using old Video plastic containers...

--from SSTN: this was sent in by "Kathy." She included pictures, however, pics are not an option for the newsletter, because they take up too much space on the server. However, pics could be posted to Facebook - ;o)) Anyway, the Bible book name is written on the spine of the video container and a synopsis of the Bible book, which is on a flash card (from a competitive publisher) is placed inside the container. You can also replicate this idea using our Bible Stack-O cards: http://www.sundayschoolnetwork.com/curriculum-bible-card-game.html

Thanks, Kathy, for sharing this great idea!

5) Done it all...need more ideas

thank you for the work you are doing. we have been teaching leadership to our kids in church. now that we have taught for three months, it
feels like we have taught almost everything we could. we need ideas for the next three months and possibly practical ways of teaching.
thank you.
God bless

--from SSTN: not sure of your age range, but I invite you to see the topics that we offer in our Bible-4-Life Curriculum:

These resources cover many years of teaching children kindergarten-5th grade.

6) Pentecost Activity

re. Anne's question

Dear Anne

If your church is non-charismatic the best story would be of Jesus as He came out of the water and the Spirit of God filled him.

If you do not teach believers baptism it does not matter because In those days Jewish children were not baptized so it would be
quite acceptable for Jesus to be baptized as an adult as a follower of what John was preaching.

The emphasis would be on the fact that because he was obedient to what God wanted him to do – he was filled with the Holy Spirit
And power and after that He started his ministry to the world.

One would have to explain that the dove was either symbolic Of what happened or that God, so as not to put fear into those
listening let the dove who was the Holy Spirit come down when he spoke. [Depending On your church beliefs].
So now you have a dove that you can work with as a craft and a memory verse to stick to it. “This is my son”…

There are several ideas on doves and Holy Spirit right Here on sstn under archives, but if you do an image
Search on Google with the keywords +craft +dove you get so many Ideas that you will

Have more than enough ideas for your class craft.

Blessings
Granny D’
