1) Halloween 2012

For our mid-week program, in honor of the season, we let the kids dress up as the Bible character of their choosing. (we provided the costumes). Then we took pictures of them in a pose fitting for that character. We will enlarge them and hang them in our "Hall of Faith" in the children's dept. hallway. This way they still get to dress up, but it keeps it on the Bible. The kids had fun picking who they wanted to portray.

Good Moral Story for Kids?

I need a good moral story to teach children.

--from SSTN: In order to teach good morals to children, they first need to know God's standard, his laws. Check out God's Top Ten, it is specifically designed to help children learn the ten commandments in light of understanding God's love and promises. You can download a sample Ten Commandments' lesson from the following page:

The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. . .By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward. Psalm 19:7-11

5) Monster Mouths

During this time of year many children dress up in scary monster costumes for fun. Even though we all know that monsters aren’t real, sometimes our imaginations makes them seem real. There are times when we have to do things that make us nervous or scared, and sometimes we are afraid of the dark or of things we don’t understand. The cure for our fears is to . . .get the rest of this lesson and Yummy Food Devotion from the following page:
